Abstract (please use no less than 300 words to describe your proposal)

Wikipedia Books ("books" from now on) are a relatively new way to visualize Wikipedia content. In this talk, I will explore the several ways the production of offline content affects the quality of the online content. In particular, I will tackle aspects such as

  • The concerns of a book writer vs the concerns of an article writer
  • Inter-article consistency and uniformity
  • Inter-article "interaction"
  • Using books to identify problems and lackluster areas in online content
  • How books drive the creation of new content
