- Abstract (please use no less than 300 words to describe your proposal)
- Last July, Wikimedia launched an unprecedented one year open strategic planning process. The goal was to develop a five-year strategic plan for the Wikimedia movement. In the year since, over a thousand people have contributed to a process that has resulted in a set of movement priorities, a wealth of research and ideas, and most importantly, a community of contributors dedicated to help make the plan a reality. In this session, I'll present the five year strategic plan, I'll describe how it emerged, and I'll facilitate a discussion on opportunities and next steps.
